Peter's Bio
Dear Resident of Fort Erie, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake,
Every individual deserves respect and human dignity. The values of freedom, fairness, personal responsibility and respect are the foundations for building a functional community that will give opportunity for success and happiness to everyone that wants to work hard. Government should create the conditions for human flourishing rather than to perpetuate dependence on government. Smaller government is a way to increase our quality of life, by leaving more money for every citizen. Government should get out of the way of citizens as much as possible. Family and local community are better at solving local problems than big government.
Returning to traditional values of family, community and protection of the vulnerable will bring about more joy, peace and unity in our community. I believe in the protection of human life from conception to natural death. As a father of six children, the best thing I can do for them is to love their mother. As a family man the best thing I can do for my community is raise children that are humble, just, courageous and grateful for the opportunities they have been granted and to have sense of service to their family, neighbours and community.
As MP I will give straightforward responses to constituents concerns. I will always try to solve problems by going back to first principles of charity towards neighbour, faith, hard work and respect towards every individual. I believe it is not the job of government to make decisions for your healthcare or tell you what to wear or who can sleep in your home, but rather the job of government is to protect your rights so you can continue making those decisions for yourself. The sole purpose of politics is to make life better for citizens.
